Schneedorf - The number 1 igloo village in Austria!

Come spend a night with us in an igloo at 2000 meters above sea level right in the Ötztal valley!

What looks like huge hills of snow from the outside turns out to be an interesting world made of ice and snow!

This extraordinary igloo hotel consists of snow and ice entirely and is rebuilt every year in the Winter season. Snow sculptors create fascinating works of art on our walls and ceilings.

Schneedorf offers four igloos for a Classic Igloo Overnight Stay and fourteen igloos for a Candlelight-Night. Besides that, Schneedorf has a snow bar, heated toilets and a warm-up room to have you covered all evening!

Our main igloo can accommodate up to 44 people. Here dinner is served (cheese fondue or alternatives on reservation) in a cosy area with six large tables to choose from.

Schneedorf is located in the middle of the ski region of Hochötz (www.hochoetz.at) where the Ötztal valley in Tyrol begins. Due to good traffic connection (located around 7 kilometres from the exit of the highway) we are still easily accessible during snowfall! The trip from the Acherkogelbahn-station to Schneedorf is about 25 minutes by foot and luggage is transported by our staff, making the visit feasible for everyone!

Skiers can even ski right next to Schneedorf and enter the grounds directly from the slopes to enjoy a drink or two at our ice bar during the day!
